Il dirige le Laboratoire Interuniversitaire en Sciences de l&rsquo;Education et de la Communication (LISEC) de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 d&rsquo;Alsace et de Lorraine. Ses recherches portent notamment sur la relation \u00e0 l&rsquo;apprendre \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 et la socialisation universitaire, et la sociologie de l&rsquo;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n<\/em>Les recherches sociologiques sur les \u00e9tudiants montrent que la transition entre secondaire et sup\u00e9rieur constitue un moment crucial et critique. Les modalit\u00e9s p\u00e9dagogiques et les finalit\u00e9s des \u00e9tudes universitaires assignent aux nouveaux \u00e9tudiants un r\u00f4le diff\u00e9rent d\u2019avec la p\u00e9riode ant\u00e9rieure. S&rsquo;adapter \u00e0 l&rsquo;environnement universitaire semble impliquer trois types de d\u00e9fi interconnect\u00e9s\u00a0: le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une plus grande autonomie intellectuelle et sociale\u00a0; l\u2019\u00e9volution de la relation \u00e0 l&rsquo;apprendre et la conqu\u00eate d\u2019un nouveau statut au sein de contexte p\u00e9dagogique. Apprendre son m\u00e9tier d\u2019\u00e9tudiant consiste \u00e0 appr\u00e9hender les enjeux de la transition entre deux ordres \u00e9ducatifs et symboliques diff\u00e9rents.
